Directions for use: Hand Application: Spray on a small area and wipe in with a dampened foam or cloth applicator. After slight hazing occurs, wipe-off with a microfiber or terry towel for a perfect shine. Machine Application: Apply with orbital or rotary polisher and appropriate pad for the job. Spray once to prime the pad and one spray per panel to create a lubricating barrier between the buffing pad and the surface. Work across the area until product disappears. (We suggest 1000-1400 rpms for rotary polishers). Wipe with a lightly misted cotton towel for a steak-free, perfect finish. For deeper surface imperfections, use Optimum Polish or Optimum Compound prior to GPS. -
The New & Improved Optimum Gelcoat Restorer is engineered to return Gelcoat to its original factory finish without the need for polishing. The new formula is easier to apply and levels itself better for faster application times and a more even application. Optimum Gelcoat Restorer ("GCR") rebuilds the Gelcoat keeping the original thickness and restoring the gloss as before while adding additional UV protection to protect from oxidation. Directions: 1. Remove loose oxidation using pure Optimum Power Clean and a brush or mild scuff pad. 2. Rinse the surface thoroughly and dry. 3. Wearing gloves and eye protection, apply GCR to the surface in overlapping circular motions. If the Gelcoat was heavily oxidized, the GCR will soak in. Do not over apply, first coats should be very thin. Use a pearl weave, low nap towel for application. 4. Once dry to the touch (20-30 minutes), apply a second coat. Apply directly onto towel, not on panel. A sprayer can be attached to GCR bottle or product transferred for application. When the applicator begins to drag, add more product. 5. Depending on the level of oxidation, up to 5 coats may be required. Last pass, apply in straight lines. 6. To maintain the restored surface, wash with Optimum No Rinse (ONR) and apply Optimum Car Wax regularly. 7. One bottle of GCR is enough for 4 coats on a 40’ Boat or RV. Gelcoat Hints: • Thin coats and multiple coats (up to 5) • Only use on old/fading gelcoat • Can be applied in bright sunlight. • Sticky/spotty if too much applied • Use DAMP pearl weave towels, low nap, for smoother application. • 2-3 year durability (wax every 6 months) – Absorbs into the gel coat and restores from the inside out. • It’s acrylic based. • To remove streaking, polish with Hyper Polish and orange foam pad (or if necessary, move up to Intensive Polish). There are four major points for best application for GCR: 1. The condition of the Gelcoat – Will GCR work on it or not? Gelcoat Restorer is made for heavily oxidized paint. New Gelcoat isn’t porous as old, oxidized Gelcoat so it won’t accept the product, whether it is clear or colored Gelcoat. 2. Removing this oxidized Gelcoat is essential for the pores to accept the coating, exactly like prepping paint for coating, with concentrated Power Clean and white scuff pad. 3. The amount of product also essential, multiple moderate layers are better than one thick coat, both will streak. After removing the oxidized layer, the Gelcoat will look clean but dull. After 1-3 layers there may not be much gloss. Layers 4-5, the gloss will improve. 4. What you apply with is as important as the amount, a DAMP pearl weave towel or low nap MF applicator is the best way to apply GCR. -
Optimum FerreX™ is designed to dissolve and remove ferrous oxides from wheels and painted surfaces quickly by bonding and dissolving them away with minimal effort. Furthermore, Optimum FerreX™ will dissolve and remove other surface contaminants such as tar and wax at the same time. Directions for wheels: Avoid using on hot surfaces. Wash wheels to remove excess contaminants. Spray Optimum FerreX™ directly on wheels and allow 1 - 2 minutes to fully dissolve ferrous oxides. Agitate with a soft bristle brush as needed. Rinse off with plenty of water. Directions for painted surfaces: Wash with Optimum No Rinse™ Wash & Shine or Optimum Car Wash before applying Optimum FerreX™. Use on a cool surface and out of direct sunlight. Spray Optimum FerreX™ directly on painted surface and allow 1 - 2 minutes to fully dissolve ferrous oxide. Optimum Black Waffle Foam Pad is a great one step polishing pad that can be used with Zentool DA Polisher to remove medium to light scratches and swirl marks in one or two passes. The waffle design as well as the breathable backing plate of Zentool DA Polisher keeps the surface cool to avoid burnishing the paint that is caused by over-heating the surface. Directions: To remove 3,000 grit or finer sanding marks spray Optimum Hyper™ Compound on the Optimum Black Waffle Foam Pad using Zentool DA Polisher at speed of 3-4 or a rotary buffer at 1200-1400 RPM. This combination will remove (not hide) scratches after 1-2 passes and leave a finish with zero marring that is free of swirl marks. Follow up with Optimum Hyper Polish and Optimum Black Waffle Foam Pad to refine the paint surface before applying Optimum Car Wax. -
The latest in sponge technology, the Big Red Sponge is oversized at 7”x 5”x 3” for greater ease of use. Both sides of the sponge are cross cut, creating channels that pull dirt from the paint and reduce marring. The porous foam will hold a great deal of cleaning/lubricating solution allowing larger sections to be safely washed before wringing and reloading the sponge. This high quality Big Red Sponge will provide years of heavy duty professional use. Maintenance Instructions: After use, rinse the Big Red Sponge in hot water and Optimum Power Clean (or dish detergent), squeezing until it stops foaming. Directions:
To Kill Fungi: Pre-clean visibly soiled surfaces. Apply Assure undiluted to hard, non-porous surfaces and let air dry.
To Control Mold/Mildew: Apply Assure undiluted to hard, non-porous surfaces which will effectively inhibit the growth of mold and mildew and their odors. Repeat treatment once every seven days if new growth appears.
For Use as a General Disinfectant:
1. Pre-clean visibly soiled surfaces.
2. Apply Assure undiluted to the surfaces with a sponge, brush, cloth, or trigger spray. For spray application, spray 6-8 inches form the surface. Do not breathe spray.
3. Treated surfaces must remain visibly wet for 1 minute to kill SARS Covid2and 10 minutes to kill all organisms listed above. Rinse with potable water after use on surfaces that come in contact with food.
4. Wipe dry with a clean cloth or allow to air dry.
5. Change solution when visibly dirty. -
