Zentool Backing Plates are designed to work specifically with Zentool 21mm DA Polishers.. Additionally they are perforated to allow air to circulate through the Optimum Foam and Wool Pads and through the polisher. This air movement will keep paint, pad, and polisher cooler which will improve the performance and the results. Additionally the lower temperatures will make your polisher and pads last longer and prevent paint from being damaged due to excessive heat and shear. Zentool Backing Plates are available for both old and new model Zentool 21mm DA Polishers. Please order by size and polisher model number. -

Optimum Hyper™Wool Foam Pad is the first and only hybrid wool pad of its kind that can be used with a DA polisher to remove 1,000 or finer wet sanding marks. Therefore the combination of Zentool DA Polisher and Optimum Hyper™Wool Foam Pad provides results that could only be achieved by rotary polishers and twisted wool pads in the past! The advantages of Optimum Hyper™Wool Foam Pad with Zentool DA Polisher is a greater cut than rotary buffers with minimal marring and no swirl marks. Directions: To remove 1,000 grit or finer sanding marks spray Optimum Hyper™ Compound on the Optimum Hyper™Wool Foam Pad using Zentool DA Polisher at speed of 3-4 or a rotary buffer at 1200-1400 RPM. This combination will remove (not hide) scratches after 1-2 passes and leave a finish with minor marring that is free of swirl marks. Follow up with Optimum Hyper Polish and Optimum Black Waffle Foam Pad to refine the paint surface before applying Optimum Car Wax. -

Optimum Orange Waffle Foam Pad is a great one step cutting pad that can be used with Zentool DA Polisher to remove 2,000 or finer wet sanding marks and deep scratches and swirl marks in one or two passes. The waffle design as well as the breathable backing plate of Zentool DA Polisher keeps the surface cool to avoid burnishing the paint that is caused by over-heating the surface. Directions: To remove 2,000 grit or finer sanding marks spray Optimum Hyper™ Compound on the Optimum Orange Waffle Foam Pad using Zentool DA Polisher at speed of 3-4 or a rotary buffer at 600-1000 RPM. This combination will remove (not hide) scratches after 1-2 passes and leave a finish with minor marring that is free of swirl marks. By reducing the pressure on the pad, you can remove the swirl marks as you are finishing down. Follow up with Optimum Hyper Polish and Optimum Black Waffle Foam Pad to refine the paint surface before applying Optimum Car Wax. -
